Thank-You-Free-PNG-Image

It was a success!

Thanks to all team members that came and help out, our final number is $1500.97 during the Yard Trail Sale. Locations was perfect and weather was just a tad too wet!!!!   but it worked out just fine!

A huge thank you to everyone that donated items for the sale… your donations all together made a great impact on our team budget, we really appreciate it.

This was a lot of work, but at the end, it was a great opportunity for a lot of people to familiarize themselves with our team.

Almost all donated items were sold, remaining few were donated to the local goodwill store.

Start collecting items !!!!   the more we have, the better it will be!

Mark your calendar for next year, we will most likely do this again! If we do we will be doing Friday and Saturday only,  August 11-12th 2017.

1st Annual Garage Sale Fundraiser

garagesale

Team, you may have seen postings already over social media. The yard trail sale is schedule on 8/12-8/14 and this will be a perfect opportunity to try this out. We have a perfect front yard selected to host the sale. It is right on m-29 and Virginia and there should be plenty of space.

We discussed this and we will like to make this to be one of our main annual fundraiser. It will be hard work but if the team work together, we can make this happen and make this a successful event.

Timing is a little short for this year, but for upcoming year, it is right before season starts and will not interfere with our build.

Few things to consider:

  • We will have a tent with robots, trophies and artifact displayed.
  • We will have a tent with grill going selling hot dogs, water, pop…. If you can donate anything that would add to our profit as we do not have to buy it.
  • We need things to sell!   Some donations are already stacked in my garage and we need as much stuff as we can put in the front yard. Anything we sell will go in our club general fund and will be use to buy tools, parts and other miscellaneous expense throughout the seasons. So if you have things that you want to donate, you can bring it on 8/11 in the evening as we will set up that night or contact coach Seb to arrange for pickup.
  • Consider talking to your neighbors, friend and family and promote our team. You will be surprise on how people would like to get rid of some stuff!

We need everyone that can help for this sale. Please click here and use this sign up genius to sign up for some time. We will need extra people on Thursday night to setup and Sunday afternoon to clean up.

Summer Blues…

Well…  Hope your summer is relax and enjoyable!

I am working on the web site and getting things in motion for this upcoming month.

One of the new feature on our web site is a photo gallery where we can upload and document all of our activities.

We will be using Google Photos as the platform to store the pictures. I created a shared album where anyone can add pictures either from their phone or computer.

This will allow us to gather more pictures and share them across our web site and social media with little maintenance.

If you have pictures and videos you would like to share with us, use this link to upload them.

https://goo.gl/photos/6xV9wgJT6beR1gDf7

There is also an app that is available for both Android and iOS.

I was also excited ot see that some incoming student into our FLL team attended the Capac camp last week!

Way to go and get prepared Carter!   It’s going to be a fun year!
