Project: Have your team identify a human physical or social problem faced during long duration space exploration within our Sun’s solar system and propose a solution.
The team narrowed their focus to two topics faced during long duration space exploration. Oxygen, and Anxiety. These are still very broad topics. The plan was to research problems and solutions in these two areas that currently exist. Then brainstorm ways to improve upon an existing solution or a completely innovative solution.
Monday each team member will share what they found in their Field Research from the last meeting.
What are three interesting facts you learned about the problem?
Are there any solutions that currently exist for this problem and why aren’t they working well enough?
What are three possible ways to improve the existing solutions? What ideas do you have for completely new solutions to the problem?
Monday we will also be continuing Robot build and Mission Planning. Wednesday the team will choose their research project topic.
I would love to include more parents in our team meetings. I have created a sign-up genius for the rest of the meetings. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/409084aaca72aa7f85-parent

Last week was FLL Jr’s first official meeting. We talked about core values and the kids wrote and drew a picture spotlighting the core value that means the most to them.
The kids were divided into three teams and chose their team names.
Next week, the teams will discuss what they need to bring to the moon. They will also be building their spacecraft.
