Welcome back to school!
This is about to get exciting! First week of school, and FTC game reveal next Saturday.
The newsletter is how we will communicate important info on a weekly basis. Please make sure you are reading each one and if you have any questions, contact one of the Coaches.
Our program is growing and we have more students this year than ever before, just by registration, we have full FLL and FTC roster already and we are expanding with two FLL Jr team.
Student Application
Application are open for FRC team members. Look like we have full roster for FTC and FLL.
If you have a friend interested in joining the First Robotics Competition (FRC) High School level team, make sure they submit the application using the following link.

Fundraisers Info
Next fundraisers opportunities will be for water bottle as soon as school start. This will be to install water bottle filling station by the gym at both Algonquin and the high school.
Business team is collecting addresses for a sponsorship mailing. If anyone has any businesses they want to add to the list they can send the info to algonacrobotics15@gmail.com
We are actively looking for a parent or family members that is working for Ford. There is a great grant program available for us to apply, but we must have a Ford employee as a coach/mentor. If you know someone, please contact Coach Seb as soon as possible.
As you read this newsletter, contact Coach Seb using Basecamp or remind! Students #12 and #25 to contact me will receive a special prize at their next meeting.

Team Specific Information
Sign up available for the FRC Girls Competition in Grand Rapids. This will be an overnight trip and a weekend to remember. Please sign up as needed to ensure we have enough people going. Deadline to sign up is 9/8/2018.
Our first official season meeting is this Wednesday 6-9pm. See you all there!

Saturday 9/8/18 – Rover Ruckus Game Reveal 11am-3pm Parents are welcome to attend.
Lunch will be provided.
Wednesday 6-7:30.
Please bring sources to support your choice for the project area you are most interested in. We need to narrow down to our top choice to start researching what is being done now and what you will choose as an innovative solution to develop.
Remember your top five area were, air/O2, Space Suit, Water, Food, and First Aid/Physical or Mental Health.
Pick one and be prepared to share why that should be our area of focus.
Letter have been received and students are very excited about this program.
